1 Day Shift | 3 Night Shifts Position Overview The Reclaim/Scrap Operator supports Machine Operators by recycling scrap aluminum and maintaining a clean, safe production environment. This role plays a key part in keeping operations running efficiently by reclaiming materials and assisting with housekeeping and machine clean-up. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to get started in manufacturing, demonstrate reliability, and grow into a full-time production role.

Shifts & Schedule Day Shift:

1 opening

Night Shift:

3 openings (6:00 PM - 6:15 AM)

Schedule Rotation:

2 days on / 2 days off 3 days on / 2 days off 2 days on / 3 days off Candidates must be able to work night shift if assigned after training. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas Follow all safety, environmental, and Lockout/Tagout procedures Assist with scrap aluminum processing and recycling Peel protective film from sheets and operate material separator Draw ATH for proper disposal and assist with machine cleaning Remove and sweep debris from burners and machinery Support supervisors and team members with training and cross-training Maintain a valid forklift license (as issued by Mitsubishi) Wear required PPE at all times (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager Physical Requirements Stand for extended periods during a 12-hour shift Perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and reaching Occasional squatting, crouching, and overhead reaching Push/pull materials using a pallet jack Lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally Climb ladders and stairs Work safely around moving and heated industrial equipment Maintain correctable eyesight and manual dexterity

Qualifications & Skills Preferred Experience:

Production, general labor, packaging, or material handling

The environment is fast-paced, physically active, and team-driven. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
