Position Description Summary:

We are actively seeking a professional who works alongside and assists skilled welders by performing duties, such as supplying or holding materials or tools and cleaning the work area and equipment and generally supporting the welding process to ensure efficient and accurate completion of projects. Principal Responsibilities may include any or all of the following:

Material Prep :

Cut metal using power tools, measure, and grind or brush surfaces to remove slag, rust, and grease. Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts Secure metal components into holding fixtures Inspect welds for obvious flaws, leaks, and discrepancies

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain tools, check hoses for leaks, and organize welding rigs or consumables like rods and grinding discs. Be able to operate simple machinery, various hand tools; Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required Perform simple maintenance and repair as required to machines or basic tools Using aerosal paint regularly and for extended periods of time

Active Assistance:

Assist welders with lifting heavy components, hold parts in place, and adjust machine settings as directed. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Helps to keep shop picked up - trash, scrap, putting tools and parts away. Maintains safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations Assist with other duties as assigned Adheres to all company policies and procedures
