Job Description

Key Responsibilities :
Set up and operate press machines according to production specifications and safety procedures Load raw materials and monitor machine cycles for optimal operation Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure conformity to specifications Make necessary adjustments to press equipment to maintain quality and output standards Interpret production orders, part drawings, and technical specifications Perform routine preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues as needed Maintain accurate documentation for production output, scrap, and downtime Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures; use PPE as required Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives within the department
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or
GED Experience:
1+ year of experience operating press machinery in a manufacturing environment
Skills and Competencies:
Basic understanding of press operations, materials handling, and mechanical adjustments Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurement tools Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions Good physical condition (standing for long periods, lifting up to 40lbs, repetitive motion) Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical operations Familiarity with progressive die and punch press operations Forklift certification Experience working under Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing floor environment: exposure to noise, grease, heat, and moving machinery May require shift work, weekends, or overtime based on production demands PPE required (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.) Ability to lift and carry up to [e.g., 40 lbs] Prolonged standing and manual dexterity Visual acuity for inspection and reading measurements
