SURESTAFF
is immediately hiring Production Technicians for a manufacturing company in the Roanoke, TX area. The Production Technician will be responsible for operating CNC manufacturing equipment, moving materials through the production process, performing assembly work, and inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing or production experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision tools and equipment. Production Associates start at $21.00 per hour and work a Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM schedule.
Production Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate specialty CNC manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
  • Load and unload materials and perform production operations according to established procedures.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Inspect and measure machined parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Perform production assembly and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and production specifications.
  • Identify and report quality issues, defects, or production concerns.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to improve processes and reduce scrap.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly operate and maintain production equipment and tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Assist with additional manufacturing and production duties as needed.
  • Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Production Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, machining, or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experience with manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, or drill presses, is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to define problems, gather information, evaluate facts, and reach reasonable conclusions.
  • Ability to understand technical instructions, measurements, diagrams, and mathematical information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed to meet production requirements.
  • Must be willing to travel when required.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.
S. Passport within 60 days of hire if required for the position.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 2+ years of assembly or fabrication equipment experience.
  • 2+ years of industrial CNC equipment programming experience.
  • Experience with CNC machine operation and setup.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Plastics manufacturing experience.
  • Fiberglass repair experience.
  • PLC and HMI troubleshooting or diagnostic experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with production, engineering, and quality teams.
