About the Role As a Precision Metal Technician, you will play a vital role in transforming raw materials into high-quality components for complex assemblies. Responsibilities Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints to execute precise metal fabrication layouts. Operate and calibrate heavy machinery, including press brakes, shears, and punch presses, to achieve exact specifications. Perform critical assembly tasks such as riveting, fastening, and countersinking to ensure structural integrity. Utilize advanced measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to verify that all parts align with strict tolerance requirements. Proactively identify and report potential fabrication discrepancies to engineering teams to maintain workflow efficiency. Maintain a high standard of shop floor safety and organization to support a productive manufacturing environment. Document production progress and quality metrics accurately to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in precision sheet metal fabrication or a related manufacturing field. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering specifications. Proficiency in operating fabrication equipment such as Amada press brakes or punch presses. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use precision measurement gauges effectively. Capability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods during production cycles. Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and following detailed work instructions. Preferred Skills Prior experience working within an AS9100 or aerospace manufacturing environment. Knowledge of advanced metal forming techniques, including bend allowances and complex tooling setups. Vocational or technical training in metalworking or precision manufacturing.
