Job Description:
Operate the facility from the DCS in the control room and from within the plant as required by circumstances. Responsible to report and keep the appropriate personnel informed by communicating verbally and in writing all pertinent information amongst the shift, between shifts, production support personnel and management personnel. Learn and understand the operation of each piece of plant equipment and its normal operating condition. Acts as a team member with all employees while complying with all policies and procedures. Position will be assigned further responsibilities including, but not limited to, certain maintenance/housekeeping and administrative tasks deemed appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Understand the operation and maintain normal operating conditions of all steam generation and ancillary equipment. Be aware of the present operating condition of each piece of plant equipment by performing scheduled rounds and other rounds as outlined in shift procedures. Responsible for knowing all state, federal and site environmental limits and following procedures to maintain them. Making and reporting conditions or irregularities to your supervisor. Responsible for performing maintenance corrective action of any abnormal operating condition to rectify the problem if it is within the ability to be performed safely and properly. Understand the operation and maintain normal operating conditions of all wood fuel unloading, processing and conveying equipment. Understand the operation and maintain normal operating conditions of all ash systems as needed to produce spec ash. Responsible for performing assigned maintenance tasks as directed by the Operations Supervisor. Oversee and/or perform regular and routine testing & treatment of boiler water and cooling system water to maintain program limits. #ENG1
