Lyndon Furniture has been a producer of fine hardwood furniture for almost 50 years in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We are looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our Bases department! Woodworking and/or factory experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing surfaces for finishing via sanding and lighting Determining product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements according to oral or written instructions, drawings, or work orders Pushing or holding workpieces against mechanisms for shaping or sanding machines to produce desired components Applying filler, putty, or other material, using brush, putty knife, and fingers to fill wood pores, holes, cracks, or other indentations Examining finished workpieces for smoothness, matching boards, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications Verifying dimensions, visually and by feel, rules, templates, and by lighting Cleaning and maintaining products, machines, and work areas •On the job training is provided Important information: Must be at least 18 years old to apply We offer several benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days, as well as employer paid life insurance and short and long-term disability insurance We offer competitive pay and opportunities for advancement, including incentive and annual raises (starting pay dependent on experience) Weekly Paycheck We offer one shift: 5:00 AM - 1:00
