Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Position Summary As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will assemble, align, inspect, and test complex electro-mechanical, opto-electrical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies in a production environment. You will work from engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and established procedures to produce high-quality assemblies that meet defined specifications and quality standards. What You Will Do

Assemble, align, and test complex electro-mechanical, opto-electrical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies according to drawings, schematics, work instructions, or approved samples.

Clean and prepare components for assembly while maintaining established quality and workmanship standards.

Use hand tools and assembly equipment, including torque drivers, soldering irons, screwdrivers, crimp tools, and wire cutters.

Read and interpret engineering and production drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, test instructions, work orders, procedures, and safety requirements.

Determine the appropriate sequence of assembly operations using sketches, samples, and written or verbal instructions.

Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify conformance with specifications.

Accurately document inspection and test results according to established procedures.

Identify assembly or quality issues and apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to support timely resolution.

Follow applicable safety, quality, and production procedures while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of directly applicable electro-mechanical assembly experience.

Experience using computers and common workplace software or manufacturing systems is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to assemble, align, and test electro-mechanical, opto-electrical, mechanical, or electronic assemblies.

Ability to select and use common hand tools safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and related manufacturing documentation.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.

Ability to handle and manipulate small components repeatedly and for extended periods.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to communicate effectively in English as required to understand work instructions, safety requirements, and manufacturing documentation.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment This position is performed in a production environment and requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role regularly involves sitting and handling or manipulating small components and occasionally requires standing and walking. The position requires close and color vision, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to perform detailed assembly work for extended periods. Team members must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with others while maintaining a professional and constructive approach in the workplace.
