Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate supports the rework and inspection of aerospace parts by carefully handling core panels, identifying defects, and performing detailed repairs using hand and power tools. This role plays a key part in ensuring that products meet strict quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Inspect aerospace core panels for resin blisters and other visible defects with a high level of attention to detail. Handle core panels safely and efficiently during the inspection and rework processes. Remove resin blisters using tweezers, sharp hand tools, foxtail files, and other approved tools. Use general hand tools and power tools to perform rework and minor repairs on parts as required. Lift panels out of boxes for inspection, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage. Repack or relocate panels and boxes after inspection and rework are complete. Move boxes and materials within the work area, including staging and organizing parts for production flow. Stand for extended periods while performing inspection, rework, and general production tasks. Perform bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling activities as needed to support daily production operations. Follow all safety procedures, tool-handling guidelines, and work instructions to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each shift. Essential Skills Experience working in a manufacturing or factory shop floor environment (preferred). Ability to perform detailed visual inspection of parts to identify defects such as resin blisters. Proficiency using hand tools, including tweezers, sharp hand tools, and foxtail files. Comfort using basic power tools in a production setting. Capability to stand for a large portion of the workday. Ability to bend, lift, push, and pull safely as part of daily tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to push and pull up to 65 lbs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliability and consistency in following work instructions and safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in general production, assembly, or general labor roles. Familiarity with aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production setting. Work Environment This position is based on a factory shop floor within a manufacturing environment focused on aerospace parts. The role involves frequent lifting of panels and boxes up to 50 lbs and pushing or pulling loads up to 65 lbs, as well as regular bending and reaching. The environment is fast-paced and process-driven, with clear safety procedures and guidelines for tool use and material handling. Work attire should be practical and suitable for a shop floor setting, allowing safe use of tools and comfortable movement throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Burlington, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
