SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Production Worker (Explorer Department) is responsible for gluing, nailing, and attaching the soles to the bottoms of the boots. Bottoming 30 pairs of boots per day with high quality standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Use a clinching hammer to pound rubber soles on 3. Use plyers to clamp welt down 4. Use gang nailer machine to nail the heals 5. Use lip knife to trim Vibram outsole 6. Follow specific job instructions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High attention to detail
• Ability to use job specific tools
• Quality control and inspection

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Prior experience in a production setting

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Job tasks are completed independently and working with a team
• Requires working within indoor conditions
• There will be times that hearing protection and eye protection will be required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 80% of the day working with your hands and using tools and machines to accomplish the tasks required for the position.
• Requires repetitive upper body movement
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Monday thru Friday 7AM - 3:30PM Occasional mandatory and voluntary overtime based on production demand
