Our fruit is harvested at the peak of ripeness, processed and packed in our state-of-the art shipment facilities with a keen attention to quality and food safety. The Firestone Family began farming in Vancouver, WA, in 1896. In 2019, an impact investment fund managed by Agriculture Capital acquired FPF to build out a low cost, vertically integrated supply chain of high quality, organic blueberries operating at scale to address growing global demand for this nutritious fruit. Position Summary The Operation Support 2 takes directions from the Production Lead or Supervisor as to what area to work. The Operation Support 2 is expected to visually inspect and sort products to customer specifications. The Operation Support 2 must communicate quality deviations to QA Technicians immediately. This position helps ensure that all products are processed to the highest standard of quality. The Operation Support 2 is required to notify the Machine Operator of any mechanical issues. Essential Job Functions Performs all tasks assigned by Production Lead. Load and unload materials from equipment, totes, and pallets. Feed or place materials onto equipment for processing. Assist operators in set up of production lines. Mix materials to customer specification. Stack and wrap materials on pallets. Attach appropriate labels to materials. Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed. Maintain a safe, clean and organized production area. Ensure that all products are processed to the highest standard of quality. Keep a constant visual on Forklift Operators. Notify Machine Operator of any mechanical issues. Complies with company policies and procedures. Qualification & Skills Ability to work quickly and methodically Teamwork Good Communicator Ability to safety lift and or/move up to 50 pounds continuously Thoroughness Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks Ability to follow instructions Awareness of health and safety Willingness to work flexibly Other Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or irregular hours especially during fresh processing season. Passion for great tasting and nutritious fruit products, including smoothies, would be a big plus.
