Western Forest Products is hiring Production Laborers to join our Calvert Division in Vancouver, WA. Shifts:
Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays), 6:00am•3:30pm Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing as well as background checks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up glue room for daily production needs; Push out previous days production; Apply glue to boards and move boards through the production line; Inspect boards for proper glue application; Lock up the beams with an air impact gun once glued; Using torque wrench, manually lock up beam to the proper torque; Communicate and work as a team during entire process; Maintain clean and organized workspace; Support other areas of the operations as needed; and Must be able to lift 50 lbs and continuously be on your feet 90% of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS
Labor experience is an asset but not required; Reliable, steady work history, includes a good attendance record; Must have the ability to follow standard safety procedures; Positive attitude, ready to learn and a safety mindset; Physically fit and able to stand for 8+ hour shifts, perform repetitive tasks and heavy lifting; Must be able to work in moderate to warm environment; Basic math skills and effectively read, write and communicate in English; and Must be able to pass pre-employment and regular random drug tests.
