Job Description

JOB TITLE
WINDER / ASSEMBLER / PRODUCTION
WORKER JOB DESCRIPTION
Wound Magnetics Production - Winding and Assembling Magnetics (electronics transformers, inductors, coils) to fulfill customer orders.
REPORTS TO
Winding Lead
DUTIES AND SKILLS
Previous experience preferred but not necessary in coil winding, electronics, sewing, or Lego building. Key Employee Responsibilities/Skills/Characteristics
  • Follow the Lead's instructions on project priorities and report any issues.
  • Maintain communication with Team Lead.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow instructions on drawings.
  • Strong imagination in 3D - Must be able to interpret 2D production drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of materials, practices, and equipment used in assembling electronic parts. This can be learned on the job.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of magnetic properties is a plus.
  • Have a positive attitude in our small team environment.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possess competent manual dexterity in fingers - we work on small parts.
  • Ability to sit for long periods working at a desk on small parts.
  • Ability to see close-up for long periods of time. (1 - 2 feet)
  • Must communicate with Lead and Engineer if any problems arise in a project.
  • Give suggestions for improvement.
  • Work with some chemicals.
  • Legible handwriting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Sit, stand, walk over 8-hour shifts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 20 pounds.
  • Some exposure to temperature change, dust, noise and occasionally fumes and gases.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or G.
E.D. Certificate.

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
