We operate a fast-paced, multi-line facility serving some of the most recognized brands in the natural and specialty food industry. Position Overview We are looking for a hands-on Production Optimization Specialist who thrives on the production floor. This is not a desk job — you will be directly involved in setting up lines, designing efficient workflows, and ensuring every shift runs at peak performance across our full range of production and packaging equipment. Production Lines You Will Oversee Two confection lines Three bakery lines (Granola/Cereal/Snack Mix, Cookie, and Slab Bar) Packaging Lines You Will Set Up and Optimize Yilong premade pouch filler Matrix pillow bag machine Syntegon (Doboy) horizontal flow wrapper Cartoner (glued folding boxes) Manual packing lines Key Responsibilities Set up and changeover production and packaging lines for each new run Design station layouts and assign workers to maximize throughput and minimize downtime Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across production and packaging Ensure product quality and consistency meet SQF and customer specifications Train and coach production staff on line setup, machine operation, and workflow best practices Collaborate with R&D and QC on new product pilots and line trials Maintain accurate production records and communicate shift performance to management What We're Looking For Hands-on experience setting up and operating food production and packaging equipment — experience with flow wrappers, pouch fillers, or cartoners strongly preferred Proven ability to design efficient production workflows and manage labor assignments Strong mechanical aptitude — comfortable troubleshooting equipment issues on the fly Experience in a co-manufacturing or high-SKU food production environment a plus SQF or food safety certification knowledge preferred Engineering mindset — approaches problems systematically and builds solutions that last Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics Strong deductive reasoning — able to diagnose root causes quickly and make sound decisions under pressure A leader who leads from the floor, not the office Compensation Competitive, based on experience.
