General Production Job Description This role involves assembling and rebuilding trailers using hand and power tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You work from blueprints and written instructions to build high-quality trailers with zero defects, while performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods. You begin by rebuilding trailers identified with quality issues and then transition into full assembly responsibilities. Responsibilities Assemble and rebuild trailers using hand and power tools according to blueprints and written instructions. Read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions to ensure accurate assembly with no quality errors. Rebuild trailers that have been identified as having quality issues before they leave the yard. Transition from trailer rework to full assembly duties as performance and proficiency increase. Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly throughout the shift. Lift and move materials and components weighing 50+ pounds regularly during the shift. Work on your feet for 10-hour shifts in a physically demanding environment. Maintain a strong focus on quality and take pride in producing accurate, defect-free work. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of ear plugs, hard hats, and steel-toe shoes. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous workflow. Adapt to overtime requirements and schedule changes based on production needs. Essential Skills Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, supported by references and specific examples of experience. Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly throughout the shift, with consistent movement and physical activity. Ability to work 10-hour shifts while standing for extended periods in a physically demanding role. Ability to follow written instructions and work with attention to detail to avoid quality errors. Willingness to work in a loud, non-climate-controlled facility while using required personal protective equipment. Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules and overtime as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with large assembly work. Experience working from written instructions and/or blueprints. Comfort working in a high-volume manufacturing environment with tight quality standards. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Beloit, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
