Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description The General Production Worker supports the safe and efficient operation of printing machinery on a high-volume production line. This role focuses on assisting with machine setup and operation, monitoring production quality, and performing basic mechanical troubleshooting to keep equipment running smoothly. Responsibilities Assist with the setup, operation, and shutdown of printing machines on a production line. Monitor printing equipment during operation to ensure consistent quality and output. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on production and printing equipment to resolve minor issues and reduce downtime. Support general production activities, including material handling, staging, and organizing work areas. Follow established production procedures and safety guidelines at all times. Communicate equipment issues or production concerns promptly to the appropriate team members. Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support efficient and safe operations. Essential Skills At least 2 years of production experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Hands-on experience with general labor tasks in a production setting. Experience with machine operation, preferably on printing or similar production equipment. Ability to operate as a printer operator or support printing machine operations. Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on production equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures. Commitment to working safely in a fast-paced production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a printing production environment. Experience supporting multiple machines or production lines. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues quickly. Work Environment This role is based in a production facility focused on operating and maintaining printing machines and related equipment. The position follows a PM shift schedule of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, for a total of 36 hours per week with compensation structured as a full-time role. The environment is fast-paced and requires standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and adhering to safety procedures and guidelines at all times. Dress typically includes practical, production-appropriate attire suitable for working around industrial equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pewaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
