Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, and assembling custom crates and pallets to ensure the safe transportation of various goods. Your creative problem-solving skills, precision craftsmanship, and strong attention to detail will be essential in meeting our clients' unique requirements and delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with leadership to understand specific requirements for custom crating and pallet manufacturing. 2. Utilize prints and create custom crates and pallets based on the dimensions, weight, and fragility of the goods to be transported. 3. Utilize various hand and power tools to accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden materials. 4. Ensure that all crates and pallets are structurally sound, sturdy, stamped and meet industry standards for safe transportation. 5. Implement innovative solutions to optimize packaging design, maximize space utilization, and minimize shipping costs. 6. Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition. 7. Monitor inventory of materials and supplies, and coordinate with the procurement team to restock as needed. 8. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Requirements:
1. 18 years or older with a valid state issued ID (driver's license not required unless applying to operate a forklift). 2. Experience in working with various woodworking tools and machinery is preferred but not required. 3. Strong understanding of different wood types, their properties, and appropriate applications. 4. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements and specifications. 5. Creative problem-solving skills to build custom crates and pallets for unique items. 6. Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines. 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. 8. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment. 9. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and operate machinery. 10.
