Job Description

Summary of Position:
The Paint Specialist - 2 works as part of a team performing multiple duties related to the production of painted products. Assigned tasks and teams will vary based on business needs. Responsibilities Operate paint equipment requiring close control and adjustment according to production orders. Paint wood and/or metal components and finished products. Maintain required records and understand paint and solvent chemistry. Perform chemical testing and troubleshooting. Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including overtime as needed. Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures. Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned. Skills and Talents Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting. Environment Fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work around and frequent interaction with moving equipment and machinery. Exposure to seasonal temperature and humidity changes. Personal Protective Equipment required in designated areas.
Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Manufacturing and related experience preferred. Training experience preferred . Ability to pass pre-employment screenings. Training timeline for this position is up to 8 weeks. Physical Requirements Lift up to 60 lbs. at waist level and up to 30 lbs. at shoulder level occasionally. Push or pull up to 80 lbs. occasionally. Generate up to 65 lbs. of grip strength and 15 lbs. of pinch strength occasionally. Perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours per day. Stand continuously and walk frequently during shifts. Stoop, kneel, squat, and reach forward or sideways as needed. Perform occasional elevated work when handling products. Display average coordination with both hands continuously. May be required to pass color acuity test if tasks involve working with stain.
