Your Role in Our Mission Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, assist in the management and overall flow of the Production Floor. Ensure adequate levels of materials are available for assembly. Read and follow work order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies to ensure quality parts in a timely fashion. Print, review and resolve issues with Late Order Report. Provide general direction to employees on production floor. Help out on production floor when needed. Assist Production Supervisor on product issues. Assist in training employees. Assist Production Supervisor with the selection and interviewing of new team members. Provide feedback to Production Supervisor regarding employee performance. Work with Customer Service Representatives and Materials Group to resolve issues. Ensure safe working environment by complying with all safety and work rules and regulations. Report unsafe conditions and/or acts; complete injury reports; and work with safety team to rectify and correct potential safety hazards. Manage production floor in absence of Production Supervisor. Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, lean Initiatives and lean events. Special projects as assigned. Complete and maintain required paperwork, records, documents, etc. Maintain confidentiality regarding personnel discussions, discipline, etc. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.Maintains quality service by:
Meeting/Exceeding all measurements of performance: quality, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.Contributes to team effort by:
Maintaining a good attendance record; accomplishing related results as needed; having on call list responsibility.Maintains technical knowledge by:
Attending educational training. Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership. Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency. What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience. Proven in-depth product knowledge. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and metric conversions). Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to read, understand, and communicate manufacturing instructions in English. Must be familiar with portable power tools such as a drill, band saw, and grinder. Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and management. Must have problem solving skills. Must be able to maintain confidential information. Must have intermediate computer knowledge and ability to navigate the internet to access company portals. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization. Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, excel, word processing, spreadsheet, etc. Prioritize tasks. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Handle multiple projects simultaneously. Other Skills. Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; fabrication skills helpful; good problem-solving skills.
