Duties and Responsibilities The Ready to Eat (RTE) Production Assistant is responsible for following recipes, handling and packaging cooked seafood products, labeling and palletizing orders for delivery, and maintaining a clean work environment to promote food safety. The RTE Production Assistant plays a vital role in preparing and packaging the final products that go out to customers and retailers.

Some of the duties include:

• Prepare/package a variety of cooked food products for distribution.
• Operate a wide variety of machinery, including but not limited to, commercial smoking equipment, packaging machines, mixers, grinders, scales, etc.
• Perform a variety of sanitation duties daily and assist with documentation to ensure

compliance standards are met. Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and move at least 40 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the day.
• Ability to be in refrigerated cooler for up to one hour at a time
• Ability to work independently and as a team at a quick efficient pace.
• Food processing and/or sanitation experience is preferred.
