Production Helper Location:
Advanced Paper Converting 100 Creative Way Ripon, WI 54971 Position Summary Advanced Paper Converting is seeking a dependable and motivated Production Helper to support our manufacturing team. This position plays a vital role in assisting Machine Operators with the safe and efficient operation of converting equipment while ensuring high-quality production standards are maintained. The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist Machine Operators with loading paper rolls onto back stands. Hang, splice, and thread paper rolls as needed during production. Select paper rolls based on weight and production requirements. Set wrappers for proper ream thickness and make adjustments to ensure accurate folding and package sealing. Change conveyor belts and adjust belt speeds to optimize production. Assist with clearing machine jams and resetting accumulators. Fill glue pots and verify proper glue stripe application using the glue timer screen. Operate package labelers, replenish labels as needed, and keep labeling equipment clean and functioning properly. Shred stub rolls and maintain proper labels from inventory for current and upcoming production orders. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions. Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will:
Be dependable, punctual, and maintain a strong attendance record. Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Have effective verbal communication skills. Be willing and able to learn multiple production processes through cross-training. Work well independently and as part of a team. Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality products. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to work safely around moving machinery and production equipment.
