Summary The Production Team Member is responsible for safely operating equipment and supporting manufacturing processes to produce high‑quality aluminum products in a fast‑paced industrial environment. This role contributes to plant performance by maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operations. Essential Job Functions
- Follow all plant safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain compliance with all safety requirements.
- Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Operate, monitor, and support manufacturing equipment across production areas (e.g., rolling, slitting, packaging, material handling, shipping).
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and basic operational adjustments as required.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Perform product inspections, measurements, and quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
- Identify and report product defects, process issues, and quality concerns.
- Accurately complete production records, logs, and required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and support functions to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in problem‑solving and continuous improvement activities to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Support cross‑functional operations, including basic maintenance support or material movement as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibility. Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work assigned shift to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, and pulling materials.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, procedures, and standard work processes.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate industrial equipment, forklifts, or cranes.

- Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or willingness to learn.
- Experience in continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing concepts preferred. Working Conditions The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of this job consistent with federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity standards.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
- Occasional below waist level work, climbing, carrying, reaching over or away from the body, reaching above the shoulder, push/pull, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Regular use of computer systems for inventory management, work orders, purchasing, and reporting
