QC FAB Inspector

Position Summary:

This position requires a detail oriented and self-motivated person with a working knowledge of manufacturing and distribution. Responsibilities will include the timely processing of all quality requirements and other various organizational roles. QC FAB Inspector will act as the company's representative when working with suppliers, customers, fabrication personnel, quality personnel and packaging/shipping personnel. Unresolved, reoccurring or severe quality issues are escalated to the Quality Manager and worked through to final disposition as a team.

Essential Job Functions:

Master blueprint reading and interpretation, inspect with proper selection of measurement gauges to meet customer requirements and expectations Maintain proper filing of quality documents and retrieval of quality documents and alerts Support manufacturing and distribution PPAP submissions per customer requirements and AIAG 4th edition PPAP guidelines Completing FAIR's, DIP's, TDP's, visual inspections of distribution items and other similar functions Tooling review (Incoming); resolve issues by collaborating with NPI team Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions as applicable Verifies the data stated on material or hardware certifications matches the requirements Physically confirm that incoming hardware and parts received from outside processing is conforming by measuring and counting the parts when required Responsible for supplier communication in a timely manner to resolve and escalate quality related notices Assist with processing and completing all RMA's and Customer/Vendor discrepancies, including (CSI/Syteline) entries

Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent computer skills: Excel, PDF professional, Word and Microsoft Office Ability to problem solve, apply critical thinking and risk assessment management Proficient in the use of common inspection tools and equipment Knowledge of blue print reading, interpretation, and application Familiar with PSW's, dimensional validation reports, control plans, process flows, PFMEAs, CPK Studies, Gauge R&R, material test reports and C of C's, supplier info

Education and Experience:

(Final Determination made by Hiring Manager): High school graduate or equivalent, some college, minimum of 2 year of work-related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have close visual acuity. May be subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust. Pay:

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
