In this role, you act as the first line of defense against defects, performing routine checks under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Manager. This role operates under AS9100 guidelines, using precision measurement tools and collaborating closely with production and quality teams to maintain the highest quality standards.
Core Responsibilities Inspections & Testing :
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to identify defects.
Measurement :
Use precision tools like calipers , micrometers , gauges , and sometimes CMM to verify that parts match blueprint specifications.
Documentation :
Record all inspection results in detailed logs or quality databases, including pass/fail status and specific measurements. Comply with AS9100 document control processes.
Non-Conformance Handling :
Identify and isolate defective or "suspect" products to prevent them from moving further down the production line or reaching customers. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
Equipment Maintenance :
Ensure measurement tools are properly calibrated and functioning correctly before use.
Key Requirements & Skills Education :
A high school diploma or
GED Experience :
0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Technical Skills :
Basic ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel) for reporting
Detail-Oriented :
Exceptional attention to detail is critical for spotting minor flaws or deviations.
