Job Description

A biotechnology company is seeking a QC Analyst I in Brisbane, California to support routine raw material sampling and GMP quality operations. This role focuses on sample collection, documentation, cleanroom activities, and coordination with cross-functional teams to help maintain compliant laboratory and manufacturing support processes. Responsibilities:
Perform routine GMP raw material sampling, labeling, and chain-of-custody documentation Track incoming materials, plan sampling activities, and coordinate sample logistics with Warehouse Operations Ship samples to designated contract testing laboratories and support material movement as needed Clean equipment and maintain laboratory and cleanroom areas in inspection-ready condition Review and upload external laboratory results, and support deviations, investigations, and CAPA activities related to sampling operations
Qualifications:
Experience in GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or another regulated laboratory environment Hands-on experience with raw material sampling and GMP documentation practices Working knowledge of data integrity principles, chain-of-custody expectations, and sample lifecycle management Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to work independently after instruction and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cross-functionally with QC, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and external partners Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs Ability to work in laboratory and warehouse-adjacent environments requiring PPE and temperature-controlled conditions, including cold rooms Ability to complete a vision exam assessing near and mid-range clarity, depth perception, and color differentiation
Desired Skills:
Experience coordinating with Veeva and Oracle systems Experience in aseptic gowning and cleanroom material movement Experience serving as a trainer or supporting training activities in a raw material sampling area
