Job Title:
QC Lab Analyst Job Description The QC Lab Analyst will perform quality control analysis for essential oils, pre-shipment materials, and raw materials. This role involves generating Certificates of Analysis for customer requests and entering Quality Control Results in the QC module. The analyst will conduct various tests including Specific Gravity, Refractive Index, Optical Rotation, Aldehydes, Acid value, Flash Point, Solubility, and pH. Additionally, the analyst is responsible for evaluating the sensory profile of tested items, such as odor, color, and physical appearance. Responsibilities Enter samples into the QC database. Set up samples on the GC Auto sampler. File batch production and raw material retention samples. Scan completed batch sheets and vendor certificates of analysis. Maintain clean lab equipment. Prepare testing solutions. Comply with all relevant SQF procedures and regulations. Essential Skills GCMS proficiency. LIMS experience, preferably with NetSuite. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science. 1-3+ years of GC experience in flavors. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in quality control and chemistry. Work Environment The position is based in a lab environment with a team that has a mixed tenure ranging from 1 to 30 years. The company has been in business since 1949 and is a third-generation, family-owned business that works with both natural and synthetic ingredients. The work environment is dynamic and involves working on growing projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carteret, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
