ASME HEADER WELDER QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

  • 31 Job Overview We are seeking a ASME Header Welder Quality Control Floor Inspector to join our manufacturing team.
In this vital role, you will be the frontline guardian of product quality, ensuring that every item meets stringent standards and regulatory requirements. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence will help uphold our reputation for delivering high-quality products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with precision measuring instruments, vision inspection systems, and quality management systems, all while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Must have 5 years of exp. in a pressure vessel welding environment. Able to read blueprints, check fit-ups, and inspect all hydro-testing. Knowledge of ASME code documentation and recording. Conduct thorough inspections of products and components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions and tolerances. Utilize vision inspection systems and other advanced quality inspection tools to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Perform routine quality audits across the production floor to ensure compliance with
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, CGMP
(Current Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and FDA regulations. Collect and analyze data related to product quality, documenting findings accurately for traceability and reporting purposes. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly, providing feedback for corrective actions and process improvements. Participate in calibration activities for measurement equipment to maintain accuracy and reliability of inspection tools. Assist in implementing and maintaining quality systems aligned with ISO standards and company policies. Support root cause analysis investigations when defects are identified, contributing insights toward preventing recurrence. Prepare detailed reports on quality performance metrics, audit results, and inspection outcomes for management review. Ensure adherence to safety protocols while handling sensitive measurement instruments and inspection equipment. Requirements Proven experience in quality control or quality inspection within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of calibration procedures for precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Familiarity with industry standards including
ISO 13485, ISO
9001, CGMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations. Proficiency in conducting quality audits and implementing quality management systems. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and identify trends or issues. Experience in using vision inspection systems and other automated inspection tools is highly desirable. Ability to perform detailed measurements using calipers, micrometers, micrometers, and other precision instruments. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data collection and documentation. Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams on quality improvement initiatives.
PRODUCTION QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR MUST HAVE 2+ YEARS OF EXPEREINCE WORKING IN A FABRICATION OR MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT

  • 20 Summary/Objective The Incoming/In-Process Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all purchased materials, components, and equipment received to meet company, customer, and industry quality requirements prior to being released for production or shipment.
This role serves as the primary quality gatekeeper for incoming materials, with a strong focus on documentation review, material traceability, and non-conformance management. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential functions include, but are not limited to: Incoming Inspection & Verification Perform visual inspection and evaluation of purchased components and materials upon receipt. Verify materials against purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and technical requirements. Perform shipment verifications and load-outs of both complete units and loose shipments. Documentation & Traceability Review and evaluate product certifications and documentation, including Material Test Reports (MTRs). Verify that certifications match applicable specifications and ensure materials are properly identified and marked. Enter approved MTRs into the system and maintain full material traceability records. Serve as the gatekeeper of all material certifications and quality documentation. Non-Conformance & Quality Control Initiate and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-conforming materials or components. Support root cause investigations and corrective actions as required. Review materials when issued to jobs to ensure compliance prior to production or processing. Shop Support & Cross-Functional Coordination Assist with shop inspections, quality data collection, and data entry. Act as a liaison between Purchasing and Suppliers regarding material quality, certifications, and discrepancies. Communicate quality issues clearly to internal stakeholders including Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Quality. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Prior experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of or certification in inspection methods such as: RT (Radiographic Testing) PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing) MT (Magnetic Particle Testing) Ability to use metrology tools and measuring devices, including: Calipers Tape measures Scales Proficient in basic shop math. Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and professionally. Work Environment This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment. Regular trips to the shop and warehouse for observation and research are also required. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields. Protective toe boots are not required when employees are in designated walkways in the plant. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the person in this position frequently communicates with employees and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee constantly must remain stationary for long periods of time, while operating a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets and operate office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and laminator. The employee might occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Regularly, may be required to visit the shop that is a non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. Occasionally visit customer sites to evaluate projects, which may require moving above, below, over and around stationary objects. Some sites may have space limitations which, may make movement while installing, adjusting, or repairing equipment and parts difficult. These customer sites may potentially be hot, cold, or loud. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Technical or trade education in Quality, Manufacturing, Welding, or Engineering is a plus. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, inspection, or quality role preferred.
