Job Description
- Quality Control Specialist
- Charleston, SC
Pay:
- $24•28/hr •
Schedule:
- Monday
- Friday | 8:00am
- 5:00pm

- We are seeking a detail-oriented
- Quality Control Specialist
- to support quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Perform quality testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain accurate testing records, measurement reports, and quality documentation
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments according to established procedures
- Maintain QC samples, documentation cards, and product records
- Support product testing for new materials and recertification of existing products
- Assist in evaluating formulations and application performance as needed
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process
- Support investigation and resolution of customer quality concerns in coordination with internal teams
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners such as suppliers
- Utilize internal systems and software, including ERP platforms such as SAP, for reporting and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following Lean and 5S practices
- Identify safety concerns, process improvements, and workflow optimization opportunities
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
- What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures and quality standards
