About the role The Data Deliverables Specialist is responsible for the development, production, and quality-checks of electronic data deliverables (EDDs) generated from completed testing by GEL Laboratories. This role also assembles and reviews CLP and CLP-like data packages according to client requirements. All EDDs and data packages must meet or exceed standards of environmental data reporting and interpretation. The Data Deliverables Specialist performs a completeness review of deliverables (Data Packages, EDDs) to verify compliance with client specifications. What you'll do: Process Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD) in conformance with client specifications Verifies the final product including troubleshooting and problem solving to address non-conformances in client deliverables Identifies and corrects any issues with EDDs Support the specification, development, and validation of EDD software Work with a programmer to develop EDD code to produce EDDs or develop code independently Validates the software output for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to client requirements Explores and reviews alternate methods for deliverable development and/or generation to improve processing time Respond promptly to internal inquiries via phone or email Demonstrate and support GEL's core values Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience An understanding of environmental laboratory data and quality control requirements Understanding of custom client deliverables and computer systems used to produce those deliverables Programming knowledge using, UNIX, SQL and PL/SQL Exceptional organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Basic math and science knowledge Understanding of the use of relational databases Excellent computer skills, including M365 applications What We Offer A commitment to safety and corporate values that promote respect, integrity, and innovation. Working Environment & Physical Demands Work is performed primarily in an office setting, though some laboratory time may be required. The role involves limited presence in laboratory areas with exposure to chemicals, fumes, gases, and odors typical of an analytical laboratory setting. Employees must be able to use standard office and laboratory equipment and maintain the stamina required to sit or stand for extended periods. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds and frequently handle up to 10 pounds.
