This pivotal role involves leading quality control teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about maintaining the highest quality standards, implementing rigorous quality audits, and ensuring all products meet regulatory and legal requirements. Join us to lead quality initiatives that uphold safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across our production processes. Essential Job Functions Leadership Lead and supervise Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians. Assign daily work priorities and monitor team performance. Conduct shift handoff meetings and communicate quality concerns. Train, coach, and develop team members on quality standards and inspection methods. Support employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary. Quality Assurance Verify compliance with Control Plans, PFMEAs, Work Instructions, and Inspection Standards. Monitor production quality and respond to quality concerns immediately. Approve first-piece inspections and production start-up verification. Review incoming, in-process, and final inspection results. Maintain quality records and documentation. Customer Support Support customer audits and quality meetings. Coordinate product sorting, containment, and recovery activities. Communicate quality status to customers when required. Required Qualifications Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Preferred Skills Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of statistical analysis and SPC. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Stand and walk continuously for up to 12-hour shifts. Frequently bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach, and climb stairs. Frequently use hands and fingers for repetitive gripping, grasping, pinching, and fine motor movements. Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Perform repetitive upper body and hand movements throughout the workday. Maintain visual acuity sufficient to inspect parts and identify quality defects. Ability to hear machine alarms, equipment warnings, and verbal instructions. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and any other required safety equipment. Ability to inspect parts requiring visual attention to detail. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing facility.
Employees should expect:
Exposure to elevated temperatures, particularly during warmer months or while working near production equipment. Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and machinery. Continuous machine noise requiring hearing protection in designated areas. Exposure to oils, lubricants, dust, and cleaning chemicals. Fast-paced production environment with established production quotas. Overtime, weekend work, and shift work may be required based on production needs. Safety Requirements Employees are expected to comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Failure to follow required safety procedures or wear required PPE may result in disciplinary action.
