Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives within our manufacturing operations. This is a direct-hire position and the pay rate is $25-40 per hour, depending on experience. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems to ensure products meet rigorous standards and comply with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering, with a strong focus on quality management principles. As a key leader in our organization, you will foster cross-functional collaboration and uphold the highest standards of quality assurance and regulatory compliance to support our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures Conduct regular quality audits across production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards in production. Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives for product defects or non-conformities using analysis skills and Six Sigma tools. Oversee quality inspection activities Manage internal and external audits related to quality systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and certification bodies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams Train staff on quality assurance protocols Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product quality, defect rates, and process efficiency; report findings to senior management. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement using project management methodologies to enhance overall manufacturing quality. Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment with a focus on quality control or quality assurance roles. Extensive knowledge of quality standards including ISO, final inspection, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions. Experience practicing in an environment that emphasizes regulatory compliance and legal standards in production settings. Skilled in analysis techniques for root cause determination and process optimization. Excellent team leadership capabilities coupled with effective cross-functional communication skills. Project management experience is preferred to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
