Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead customer quality, warranty performance, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product and process quality while serving as a key liaison between customers, manufacturing operations, cross-functional teams, and corporate headquarters. The Quality Assurance Manager will monitor warranty and customer quality performance, lead investigations into field concerns, drive root cause and corrective action activities, and help strengthen the overall Quality Management System. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams and drive quality issues through resolution. Key Responsibilities Manage key warranty quality metrics, including 3M/12M and C/1000 indices , and prepare monthly closing and performance reports. Monitor Dealer/3M warranty claims and lead appeals and disputes involving inaccurate or misrepresented claims. Review and communicate Early Warning Reports (EWR) and lead initiatives focused on reducing warranty claims and improving overall quality performance. Lead weekly customer meetings focused on warranty concerns, quality performance, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives. Present monthly warranty and quality performance results and establish comprehensive Quality Improvement Plans . Maintain regular communication with corporate headquarters to align plant and customer quality strategies. Track weekly quality issues and improvement activities and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions. Conduct technical diagnostic analysis and on-site vehicle inspections to investigate customer and field quality concerns. Assist in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) . Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead activities to strengthen product, process, and customer quality. Monitor customer quality performance and support customer and supplier quality development activities. Serve as a key point of contact for customer quality issues and provide timely updates regarding containment, investigation, and corrective-action status. Lead containment activities, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions for product and process-related concerns. Partner with production, engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to address customer quality issues and ensure timely resolution. Lead or participate in structured problem-solving teams addressing product failures and customer complaints. Analyze failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Support quality inspection processes to ensure products and manufacturing processes comply with applicable Quality Management System requirements. Support company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) objectives and initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical field required. Minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience required. 3-5 years of related experience within an automotive manufacturing environment preferred . Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment preferred. Experience with customer quality, warranty claims, corrective action, and continuous improvement strongly preferred. Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, and structured problem-solving methodologies . Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) . Basic metrology skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, production teams, engineering personnel, corporate leadership, and other stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint . This person should be equally comfortable analyzing warranty data, investigating a vehicle or manufacturing concern, presenting results to a customer, and working with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions. The successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical, responsive, and capable of managing multiple quality concerns while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires someone who doesn't simply identify quality problems but actively drives the organization toward sustainable solutions and measurable improvement. $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
