This is an opportunity to lead quality initiatives on some of the most complex and high-profile construction projects in the Southwest, including healthcare facilities, semiconductor manufacturing, mission critical environments, hospitality developments, and large-scale commercial construction. We're seeking a construction professional who understands that quality starts long before project closeout. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader and trusted resource for project teams, helping identify risks during preconstruction, solve complex field challenges, and drive quality standards throughout every phase of construction. This role is ideal for a Quality Manager, QA/QC Manager, Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, Building Envelope Specialist, Technical Architect, or Building Enclosure Consultant looking to make a significant impact across multiple projects.
Data Centers Hospitality & Resort Developments Higher Education Large-Scale Commercial Construction Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and continuously improve QA/QC programs, processes, reporting, inspections, and quality standards Serve as the technical resource for building envelope systems, waterproofing, roofing, air barriers, moisture barriers, sealants, penetrations, and exterior building assemblies Participate in preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and quality risk assessments Review submittals, RFIs, specifications, mockups, and critical installations Attend pre-installation meetings and support project teams during high-risk scopes of work Conduct field inspections and provide technical guidance regarding quality-related issues Evaluate building envelope performance and recommend solutions for deficiencies, failures, and long-term durability Perform root cause investigations and develop corrective action plans for quality concerns Partner with project teams, architects, consultants, owners, and trade partners to maintain quality standards throughout construction Mentor project teams and promote a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement Track quality metrics and support company-wide quality initiatives
Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of commercial construction, quality management, building envelope, architecture, engineering, or building enclosure consulting experience Strong QA/QC leadership experience within commercial construction Expertise in building envelope systems, waterproofing, roofing, exterior wall assemblies, air barriers, moisture barriers, and related systems Experience conducting field investigations, inspections, testing, and root cause analysis Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and constructability Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, consultants, architects, owners, and subcontractors Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required Certifications such as USACE, NAVFAC, CQE, CQT, ICC, RRO, RRC, or RWC are highly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Tiello LLC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
