Plant Manager Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on QC Supervisor to oversee daily quality control operations for manufactured paint products. This role will supervise QC technicians, ensure products meet quality and customer standards, and perform testing and inspections. This is a working supervisor position and may require hands-on lab and bench work alongside the team. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Control Lab procedures and processes. Supervise QC technicians and ensure compliance with established standards. Review batch tickets, substrates, and applicable ASTM testing methods. Perform and oversee product testing and inspections. Maintain accurate testing, inspection, and retain-sample records. Investigate customer quality complaints and conduct root cause analysis/CARs. Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper calibration. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient QC laboratory. Communicate quality issues and findings with the Plant Manager, Sales, and Field Technical Representatives. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field , and/or 5+ years of paint/coatings QC laboratory experience . Experience with paint quality testing equipment, including Zahn cups, gloss meters, Tooke gauges, density cups , and similar instruments. Experience with color measurement instruments/software such as BYK, Hunter, and Datacolor . Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
2015 quality programs. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a hands-on environment.
