Job Description
Job Summary AppleOne is seeking a QA Supervisor to lead daily Quality Assurance Laboratory activities and Quality Control operations on the production floor. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional with strong food safety, regulatory compliance, and team leadership experience. The QA Supervisor will play a key role in protecting product quality, supporting food safety programs, maintaining audit readiness, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily QA Lab operations and Quality Control activities across production, including inspections, testing, quality verification, and product release processes.
- Lead, train, coach, and mentor QA and QC personnel while supporting performance management, employee development, and policy compliance.
- Maintain and improve food safety and quality systems, including FSMS, HACCP, GMPs, allergen control, pest control, food defense, and QA/QC procedures.
- Support regulatory, certification, customer audit, and
FSSC 22000
compliance activities, including mock recalls and audit readiness assessments.- Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, non-conformances, and process deviations using root cause analysis and statistical methods.
- Review quality data, prepare management reports, identify trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 per year.

- Supervise QA Lab and QC floor operations in a food manufacturing environment.
- Manage quality inspections, testing programs, hold and release procedures, and shelf-life studies.
- Support food safety systems, regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead QA/QC team members through training, coaching, performance feedback, and daily direction.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food manufacturing.
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, food safety systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP principles, GMPs, Food Safety Management Systems, and food manufacturing processes.
- Experience using statistical methods to support investigations, corrective actions, and quality data analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to support accountability, compliance, and product integrity in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in food manufacturing, packaging, and quality assurance.
- HACCP Certification.
- PCQI Certification.
- Experience working in an FSSC 22000-certified facility.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
- Experience supporting regulatory audits and customer audits.
