Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing 3rd shift operations (Monday
  • Friday, 9:00 PM
  • 5:30 AM) plus one Sunday per month.
In this role, you will lead and develop people, processes, and systems that drive the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. You will ensure that all products and services consistently meet or exceed both industry requirements and company specifications. The Quality Manager plays a key role in advancing our company's commitment to delivering exceptional products and customer satisfaction. This includes ensuring that quality strategies are responsive, effective, and integrated across the organization, with particular focus on minimizing product liability and maintaining trust in our operations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops, reviews, approves, initiates and implements standards and methods for inspection, testing, and product evaluation. Upholds and follows established safety protocols and workplace rules outlined in the employee handbook. Reviews process flows and conducts the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned process Develops, reviews and approves procedures, forms, and instructions within the QMS Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production and Quality Control processes, measurement, and analyzes equipment and facilities used for process verification Oversees the documentation of data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities to the appropriate personnel and management and provides recommendations for process improvements. Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management Establishes working relationships with Chem Lab, Production Control, and XRF lab to maintain quality throughout the process cycle and to minimize the potential for non-conforming parts. Maintains a working knowledge of industry regulatory (NADCAP) quality codes and standards Provides interpretive support of customer drawings and plating specifications assuring that personnel have clear understanding of appropriate customer requirements Communicates with customer(s) concerning Quality issues/matters including but not limited to process performance, process failures, etc. Provides direct supervision to employees and ensures all supervisory responsibilities are carried out in alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws Ensures appropriate training is scheduled and completed to support employee development and compliance with standards Evaluates the performance of direct reports and addresses complaints or concerns, working to resolve issues effectively and constructively Supervises, directs and supports Quality Inspectors engaged in quality activities such as: Inspection, Fixturing, Planning, Bakes, Process Control Testing, Certificate of Conformance, Material Review Board (MRB) Oversees and coordinates the workflow within Quality Assurance to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Establishes or adjusts department schedules, hours etc. to assure that customer production schedules are met Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates objectives with production shop supervisors/managers to maximize product conformance Maintains inspection data and prepares list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts Performs other tasks appropriate to the position as required. Chemistry:
basic Understanding of metal finishing, specifically plating processes, such as cadmium, zinc nickel, copper, and anodize is a plus. Quality systems, process control, statistical analysis and specifications. Personal computers and standard office software (such as MS Word, MS Excel, E-mail, MS Office and Internet) with ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and presentations Aerospace industry knowledge (manufacturing/processing environment) Products, metal finishing, and non-destructive testing processes Multi-task in fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and changing priorities using strong organization and prioritization skills Quickly understand concepts and think through possible solutions and implications Read and interpret quality and specification data with an understanding of company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, colleagues, and customers Read, analyze and interpret documents such as drawings and blueprints Work with mathematical concepts such as basic math, geometry, and trigonometry Strong analytical and troubleshooting/problem solving skills with an emphasis on attention to detail, balanced with a big picture focus and ability to work cooperatively with others. Collects and researches data, designs workflows, and procedures Project Management

  • Responds to requests for service and assistance High degree of integrity while working with confidential information discreetly and appropriately Strong ethics, reasoning, and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Clearly articulate results and needs across all levels (individuals or groups of customers or employees) Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility. Familiarity with working with hazardous materials and utilizing appropriate PPE. Required Experience To be successful in this role, the individual must be able to perform all essential duties effectively. The requirements outlined below reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position. At least 3 years supervisory experience, aerospace industry preferred. At least 5 years of experience in quality control and/or quality assurance in a processing and/or manufacturing environment. Fluent in both Spanish and English (verbal and written). Proficient computer skills, including strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Black or Green Belt Six Sigma Certification is a plus Educational Background Associate's Degree or comparable qualification preferred
