Quality Assurance Supervisor (Fresh Citrus / Peelz)

Estimated Compensation:

$20 - $24/hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities Team Management:

Supervise, train, and coordinate schedules for Fowler Packing Quality Assurance Inspectors across the fresh citrus presort & pack lines.

Defect Control:

Enforce strict fruit grading to ensure minimal percentages of serious or damaged citrus leave the plant, keeping fruit compliant with customer specifications.

Line Inspections:

Oversee the testing of internal and external fruit quality, including brix, acid ratios, rind condition, size, and color sorting.

Safety & Compliance:

Maintain a safety-conscious team environment near dangerous machinery and forklift traffic while strictly adhering to GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance.

Reporting:

Generate and interpret detailed daily quality records from the field to final consumer packaging, directly communicating trends to production managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

2 - 4 years of supervisor or lead inspector experience in a fresh produce packing house environment (citrus experience highly preferred).

Language Skills:

Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred to train and coach line personnel but not mandatory.

Physical Standards:

Must be capable of standing on the concrete packing floor for long periods and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Technical Skills:
