is looking for a Quality Control Manager/SSHO with a minimum of 5 years' experience on DOD projects. Candidates possessing 5 years DOD construction experience as a Quality Control Manager is mandatory! This is a Contract 1099 position and no per diem or relocation is offered. Lodging may be provided, depending on candidates home location.QC Manager Qualifications and requirements:
QC representative shall have 5 years QC experience on DOD construction projects. This individual shall be directly responsible for the quality control program to include implementing and documenting an effective quality control plan in accordance with the contract terms and conditions. The QC representative will check and certify all submittals. The QC representative shall be responsible to ensure both design documents and construction documents receive equal level of review and oversight.Job Description:
QC supervises field inspections of industrial, commercial buildings during various stages of capital improvements, construction and remodeling; inspection foundation, cement, framing, plastering, plumbing, heating and electrical installations. Performs field review of plans as specifications; perform office plan check of commercial/industrial projects as assigned. Ascertain conformance with Uniform Building Code and pertinent provisions of State and County ordinances; investigate possible violations and/or deviations; photograph evidence; contract responsible persons and compose deficiency letters; issue notices of deficiency, infraction, and/or citations for non-compliance; perform follow-up investigations to ensure that remedial action has been taken; develop and maintain accurate case files. Confer with architects, contractors, builders, other governmental divisions. QC must have at a minimum 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training, First-Aid CPR Certification current NAVFAC orUSACE QC
