A Quality Assurance Manager focuses on prevention of mistakes and defects in manufacturing products. Develops procedures to ensure that quality standards are maintained. Manages all steps related to quality assurance as part of the quality management strategy of a company. May involve leadership of a team of quality assurance supervisors, specialists, and other associated staff members.
$125,000 - $155,000 per year Job Details - Key Responsibilities and Duties Lead quality assurance programs to ensure product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives through audit reviews and quality investigations. Analyze audit findings, determine risk severity, and implement sustainable corrective actions. Maintain product integrity and brand standards across manufacturing operations. Partner with internal stakeholders and external business partners to resolve quality and service issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and operational excellence. Lead quality-related activities associated with capital projects and facility improvements. Manage complex regulatory issues involving ingredients, specifications, and compliance requirements. Oversee documentation including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and regulatory records. Represent the organization with government agencies and industry groups. Communicate scientific, technical, and regulatory information to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and mentor quality team members while driving accountability and performance. Support quality system audits and regulatory inspections. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Needed:
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum 6+ years of related Quality Assurance experience within manufacturing, food, beverage, consumer products, or regulated industries. Minimum 3+ years of leadership or management experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Strong background in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Audit Management. Experience leading CAPA, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Proven ability to manage quality systems and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and external auditors. Strong understanding of quality management systems, product specifications, and ingredient compliance. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience in beverage, food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or similarly regulated industries strongly preferred.
