Direct Hire / Full-Time We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead large-scale QA programs and ensure quality across complex technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on QA background , deep knowledge of QA processes, and at least 3 years of recent experience in a QA Manager or similar leadership role . Experience working with AR/VR technologies is highly preferred , particularly candidates with exposure to devices, hardware, or hardware/software integrated products . Direct hardware experience is a plus but not mandatory . This position requires someone who can operate at both the leadership and hands-on level , managing teams and programs while remaining closely involved in test strategy, execution, defect management, and overall product quality. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end QA strategy, planning, and execution for large-scale, complex programs Define and continuously improve QA processes, standards, methodologies, and best practices Develop and review test strategies, test plans, test cases, coverage, and release readiness Manage functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and UAT testing Lead and mentor QA teams while coordinating testing across engineering, product, business, and other stakeholders Drive defect management, triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution Track and communicate QA metrics, risks, dependencies, and overall quality status Remain hands-on when needed , including reviewing test cases, identifying coverage gaps, analyzing defects, and troubleshooting testing issues Support quality validation across AR/VR products, devices, and hardware/software integrations , where applicable Required Qualifications 3+ years of recent experience as a QA Manager, Test Manager, Quality Engineering Manager, or similar role Proven experience managing large-scale QA programs involving multiple teams, applications, products, or workstreams Strong hands-on background in software testing and Quality Assurance Thorough understanding of QA processes, SDLC/STLC, testing methodologies, defect management, and release processes Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Familiarity with test automation, API testing, and QA/test management tools AR/VR testing experience strongly preferred Experience testing devices, hardware, embedded systems, or hardware/software integrated products is a plus, but not required Must be local to San Jose or the surrounding Bay Area
