We're looking for a Director of Quality to bring their leadership, precision, and problem-solving skills to our team in Torrance, CA. Why You'll Love This Role:
You will lead the Quality team and work to further develop and implement the Quality strategy in conjunction with our UK Quality team for Singer vehicle production in manner that demonstrates, "Everything is Important." You will oversee all aspects of the Singer Quality Department including design and production quality engineering, continuous improvement, and incoming and final inspection functions in an Automotive manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
Manage a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors. Develop Key Performance Indicators and implement strategies to achieve company and department's objectives. Create and implement quality management system and company's overall culture of continuous improvement aligned with strategic business development, growth plans, and UK Operations. Work with Procurement, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Warranty personnel in US and UK to support the resolution of internal and external quality issues. Work with manufacturing departments to improve quality performance and compliance to Singer's requirements. Create, implement, and manage the Production MRB process. Manage resolution of systemic issues in a timely/professional manner and ensure root cause and corrective actions are completed to drive effective process improvements. Develop and analyze data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas of the organization. Establish and implement metrics for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable other functional managers and Quality team members to make sound quality decisions regarding product, customer, regulatory, and systems quality. Champion continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies across the business. Manage production and quality Record Retention and Management process.
Who We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant degree Ten (10) plus years of experience in Quality Functions in an automotive or similar manufacturing environment Five (5) plus years in supervisory/managerial role Five (5) plus years in Quality Engineering role Experience with Pareto Analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving competency (Root Cause, Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement, and 8D). Experience implementing Quality Management Systems
AS9100/ISO
Audit experience Bonus points for ASQ Certificate in Quality Leadership, Quality Audit, Quality Engineering or Six Sigma Bonus points for experience with implementing ERP/MRP systems Bonus points for prior experience in a rapid growth environment
Location & Schedule:
This position is onsite in our HQ in Torrance, CA. The general hours are Monday
  • Friday 5am

The starting pay range for this position is between $169,037
  • $225,386 per year plus bonus.
