RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, establish, and maintain comprehensive quality standards, specifications, and protocols for all berry products. Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Control team, including inspectors at internal facilities and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. Oversee the execution of quality inspections, ensuring accurate data entry into QC databases and systems. Oversee shelf-life testing and validate product performance throughout distribution. Design and implement KPIs and reporting tools to measure the efficiency of receiving, inspection processes, and overall product quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Quality Management, or related field; or 5+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the produce or food industry. Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience managing quality teams or programs. Extensive knowledge of berry fruit production, handling, and post-harvest practices. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across departments. Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays during peak seasons. Valid passport for international travel; valid driver's license; clean DMV record. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
