Job Description
At OraLabs, Inc, we create high-quality Personal Care and OTC drug products such as sunscreen, lip balm, mouthwash, breath freshener, hand sanitizer, deodorants and pain relief. We are currently seeking a Quality Control Manager with experience in a manufacturing environment.
Position Summary:
Under immediate direction, works closely with the Vice President of Quality and Compliance to oversee the Quality Control function and to ensure it operates effectively and efficiently. Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and Accrediting agencies, including but not limited to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Functions as a Mediator with Production Supervisors, Operators, Quality Technicians, and Maintenance Technicians. Consults with area Quality Technicians and stops equipment lines as needed to prevent discrepant product from being manufactured. Assists in the resolution of issues that occur day to day on the floor. Consults with all areas of production on formula, product, and equipment issues. Attend planning meetings to ensure Quality representation in production planning. Manage Production Quality Control; ensure coverage for all production areas. Assist the VP of Quality and Compliance in management of the Quality Control Function . Ensures effective employee relations. Communicate/maintain operating schedule for members of Quality Control Dept. Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results. Communicates and resolves employee issues through problem resolution. Deviation, SOP and MRB Maintenance Quality support for deviations and investigations Write and update SOP related to Production/Quality function that support processes. Manage inventory through MRB system. Training of Quality and Production on production processes. Batch Record Review for In-Process, customer-specific, and Final Batch Record Review Asisst with customer document and product investigation requests.Education or Formal Training:
High School diploma, or equivalent, with experience in Quality functions in a manufacturing environment.Experience:
Three to five years in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge:
Computer, Manufacturing systems, current Good Manufacturing Practices regulationsSkills and Abilities:
Good oral communication skills Good hand and eye coordination Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy. Ability to handle high stress environment Ability to lift 25 pounds Ability to walk and/or stand for eight hours Ability to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.Work Environment/Physical Activities:
Combination of Plant and Office Environment. Occasional exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
