Job Description

AFC Industries is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing supply chain management solutions for fasteners and assembly components to original equipment manufacturers, assembly plants, and other users of these products. Activities and Responsibilities include:
Supervise Quality department personnel Manage site quality personnel and assist with training, inspection, quality issues, and QMS compliance Responsible for managing and maintaining the
ISO 9001
quality management system (QMS), and retention of the registration/certification. Responsible for ensuring the processes are delivering their intended outputs along with the process manager. Responsible for ensuring integrity of the QMS is maintained when planned and implemented changes occur. Responsible for leading Management Review meetings and acting as the Management Representative for that Group. Assist upper management in developing, interpreting, and implementing site policies and procedures Responsible for training all employees on quality requirements Responsible for assuring that all parts adhere to customer requirements, and working with management team to disposition nonconforming product as needed Responsible for resolution of quality issues with both suppliers and customers Assisting Supply Chain department in qualification of new vendors Responsible for quality equipment management including calibration Responsible for managing Material Review Board with Supply Chain department assistance Other duties as assigned.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or technical associate's degree with equivalent work experience Prefer experience within the fastener industry, or within a manufacturing environment
Work Experience:
A minimum of 5 years working in quality management Experience reviewing and resolving technical issues from a sales and quality perspective Experience managing an
ISO-9001
2015 Quality Management System Preference for familiarity in (and a working knowledge of) fastener-related specifications such as but not limited to: ASTM, ASME, IFI, MIL, and DIN Experience in addressing non-conforming product issues, root cause analysis, and managing 8D corrective actions Experience with
AIAG PPAP
requirements
EAR/ITAR
experience helpful
Professional Skills:
Efficient in time management, with the ability to efficiently see numerous tasks through to completion Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization Ability to make written and oral presentations to customers Strong understanding of Lean, PDCA, and Continuous Improvement Advanced knowledge in blueprint reading, GD &T, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes
