What You'll Do As our Director of Quality, you'll oversee every aspect of our Quality Management System while partnering with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Leadership to ensure every product meets the highest aerospace standards. In this role, you will: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Quality team, including inspectors and CMM programmers. Manage and continuously improve our AS9100D and
ISO 9001
Quality Management System. Ensure compliance with FAA Repair Station requirements and customer-specific quality standards. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to solve quality challenges while supporting production goals. Lead internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections with confidence. Drive corrective and preventive actions through Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and 8D methodologies. Review engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation to ensure product conformity. Monitor quality performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and eliminate recurring issues. Partner with customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and strengthen long-term relationships. Champion continuous improvement initiatives that increase process capability and operational excellence What You Bring We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong leadership skills. Required Qualifications Five or more years of Quality experience within aerospace manufacturing Three or more years leading Quality teams Strong working knowledge of AS9100D and
ISO 9001
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) Knowledge of CNC machining, precision measurement, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications FAA Repair Station experience Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Lead Auditor certification Experience within ITAR-controlled manufacturing ERP/MRP system experience Experience with CMM programming and precision inspection equipment What Success Looks Like Our ideal Quality Manager is someone who: Leads by example on the manufacturing floor.
