We're looking for a senior assurance leader who will take full ownership of quality, certification, audit, and internal process assurance, all under one roof.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
At Avidyne, you'll have full accountability for ensuring product integrity and regulatory compliance across all product lines. Your role will involve consolidating the functions of Quality, Certification, Audit, and Internal Process Assurance into a single, independent organization that reports directly to the President. You'll define the processes for maintaining our certifications, enforcing our standards, and ensuring that engineering, operations, and regulatory authorities operate from a unified foundation. This includes managing our relationships with the FAA, EASA, and overseeing Part 145 compliance. Additionally, you will lead the development assurance processes for DO-178 and DO-254, manage Material Review Board activities, handle nonconforming materials, and possess the authority and judgment to halt production when necessary to address any issues.

WHAT YOU NEED
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical discipline. At least 10 years of experience in quality, certification, or assurance roles within a regulated design and manufacturing environment. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple functions or teams. Strong understanding of regulated aerospace or safety-critical manufacturing environments. Ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive compliance initiatives, and support operational excellence.
HELPFUL TO HAVE
Master's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline (may substitute for 2 years of experience). Experience with design assurance activities including
DO-254, DO-178, ARP-4754
lifecycle processes, or similar development assurance frameworks. AS9100 Lead Auditor certification. ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQM, or CQA. Experience working in Part 21 and/or Part 145 regulated environments. FAA DER or DAR experience, or direct support of DER/DAR activities. Background in avionics, general aviation, or other highly regulated safety-critical manufacturing industries. Familiarity with FMEA, risk design reviews, and formal risk management processes in hardware development
