Job Description

Quality Manager (Manufacturing / Product) Job Description The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that products meet internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves developing and maintaining quality systems, overseeing inspection and testing processes, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions, and partnering with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to enhance product reliability and manufacturing performance. The position is pivotal in fostering a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the organization. Responsibilities + Oversee incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final product testing for electronic and electromechanical assemblies. + Establish quality standards and acceptance criteria for components, subassemblies, and finished products. + Monitor production quality metrics and identify trends to drive improvement. + Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure supplier quality performance meets expectations. + Lead supplier corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives. + Participate in supplier audits and qualification processes. + Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with CUES standards and applicable regulatory requirements. + Ensure documented procedures, work instructions, and quality records are maintained and followed. + Lead internal and external quality audits and coordinate corrective actions. + Drive initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework in manufacturing processes. + Partner with operations and engineering teams on process improvements, yield optimization, and product reliability enhancements. + Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives. + Act as the primary quality contact for customers regarding quality concerns and product issues. + Manage customer complaints and ensure prompt investigation and resolution. + Participate in customer audits and quality reviews. + Lead and develop the quality inspection and quality engineering team. + Provide training and coaching on quality standards, procedures, and tools. + Promote a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. + Track and report on key quality metrics including First Pass Yield, Defect Rates, Cost of Poor Quality, Supplier Quality Performance, and Customer Returns/RMAs. + Present quality performance updates to leadership and recommend improvement actions. Essential Skills + 8-10 years of experience in industrial assembly, with at least 3-5 years in a team leader or manager role. + Bachelor's degree required. + Lean/Six Sigma Certification. + Experience with quality engineering, supplier quality, and quality management. + Experience with implementing control plans, FMEA, and building quality into the manufacturing process. + Strong leadership and team development skills. + Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain. + Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies. + Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + CQE or CQM certification. + Experience managing supplier quality programs. + Lean/Green Belt Certification. + Experience with electronic assembly. Work Environment This role is situated in a manufacturing environment focused on electronic and electromechanical assemblies. The position requires collaboration across various departments including operations, engineering, and supply chain. The work environment supports Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, emphasizing continuous improvement and quality management systems. Dress code is professional and safety standards are maintained at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.
