Job Description

Traveling Federal Construction QC Manager Responsibilities First project based out of Panama City, FL Interface professionally with client representatives, inspectors, and subcontractors. Review design documents and provide constructability and quality-related feedback to designers. Perform detailed technical reviews of submittals against contract and design requirements; manage submittal status using a formal submittal register. Implement and enforce the approved Quality Control (QC) Plan, ensuring all required documentation is properly generated, maintained, and distributed. Identify deficiencies and non-conformances; prepare written documentation and track corrective actions through resolution. Exercise authority to stop work, when necessary, to address non-compliant construction or safety-related concerns. Coordinate and document commissioning activities and formal completion inspections. Manage timely project closeout, including compilation, review, and turnover of all required closeout documentation. Train and mentor direct reports on company processes, procedures, and completion of daily responsibilities. Manage workload and performance of direct reports to ensure alignment with company standards and project objectives. Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that motivates and engages project team members. Communicate departmental and company strategies effectively to direct reports. Collaborate with business development and project leadership to support project pursuits, performance metrics, and client deliverables; actively participate in strengthening client, partner, and industry relationships. Qualifications Experience / Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or CMAA Certification Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, including at least 4 years as a Quality Control Manager
USACE / NAVFAC
Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification preferred Or an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Proactive and detail-oriented management approach Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with
