Job Description

Performance Personnel Services (PPS) is hiring an experienced Quality Control Manager for a leading heavy civil construction contractor in the Pensacola, FL area. In this role, you will oversee quality control for site work, underground utilities, asphalt paving, and concrete projects. You'll ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and industry standards while coordinating inspections, testing, and documentation throughout each phase of construction.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project Quality Control (QC) plans. Perform daily field inspections on active job sites. Verify work meets plans, specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate testing and inspections with agencies and third-party labs. Issue and track corrective actions for quality issues. Maintain accurate inspection reports, test results, and project documentation. Train field personnel on quality procedures and best practices. Work closely with project management while maintaining independent quality oversight.
Qualifications:
8+ years of heavy civil construction experience. Minimum 3 years in Quality Control, Inspection, or Materials Testing. Experience with paving, concrete, underground utilities, and site development. Strong understanding of civil plans, specifications, and construction standards. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and construction software. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local job sites.
Preferred:
FDOT experience and CTQP certifications. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software. OSHA 30 certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay:
$90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
