This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with FAA, EASA and other regulations. Manage internal and external audits, ensuring zero major findings and successful certification outcomes. Develop, maintain, and manage compliance manuals, including Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), and EASA supplements. Implement and oversee Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) programs and Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, 8D) to reduce non-conformance and improve inspection turnaround times. Ensure all inspections, repairs, and overhauls meet airworthiness, safety, and regulatory standards. Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to QA inspectors and staff, fostering a high-performance team culture. Oversee documentation, calibration, and traceability processes to maintain compliance and operational efficiency. Collaborate with engineering, inspection, and operations teams to identify issues and implement corrective actions. Manage compliance programs including Drug & Alcohol, Counterfeit Parts Mitigation, and OSHA safety protocols. Track and report quality metrics using software tools to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in aviation, engineering, or related field preferred.
AS9100 & ISO 9001
Lead Auditor Certification (preferred). Lean Six Sigma, CAPA, and regulatory compliance training.
Working Conditions:
Combination of office and production floor environments. Must be able to walk, stand, and conduct audits or training in active operational areas. Strong knowledge of FAA Part 145, EASA, ISO 9001, AS9100, CASE, and UK CAA regulations. Experience leading audits and achieving certifications with zero major findings. Proven success in reducing non-conformance rates and improving inspection processes. Expertise in developing and managing compliance manuals (RSM, QCM, EASA Supplements). Skilled in CAPA, Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, 8D), and lean quality practices. Strong leadership, training, and team management experience. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proficiency in QA software systems and Microsoft Office Suite. A&P license or FAA Repairman Certificate is a plus.
